Car accidents: Collision in Tennessee injures 4

A great deal of thought and effort go into the design of Tennessee roadways. The goal of these efforts is to ensure that all drivers can understand the layout of the road. Unfortunately, some people fail to observe which way traffic is flowing, for example, causing serious car accidents. Unfortunately, four people were recently sent to the hospital, allegedly because of a crash caused by a wrong-way driver.

Officials claim that the incident happened one night on a day in April. According to reports, a 48-year-old driver left a resident near the highway. Unfortunately, he reportedly turned south into northbound traffic. Troopers indicate that at some point he attempted to cross over into the other lanes of traffic using a crossover.

Unfortunately, the man’s actions reportedly caused an accident involving two additional vehicles. All the drivers were transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. A passenger in the first vehicle also required treatment at the hospital. The driver of the first vehicle has since been charged with driving the wrong way and failure to exercise due care.

Injuries suffered in car accidents often have lifelong ramifications. In some cases, victims are unable to return to work in the same capacity. In combination with medical costs, these victims also struggle financially as a result of lost wages. To help cope with these costs, those injured due to someone else’s negligence often choose to file a personal injury lawsuit. If claims of negligence can be proved, victims can receive a financial award to help them manage their bills and other expenses.
