Many Tennessee drivers may be among those who enjoy a motorcycle ride. Whether they are a driver or a passenger, motorcycle enthusiasts agree that not many things can compare to the thrill of the open road. While this may certainly be the case, motorcycle drivers and passengers are at higher risk of suffering serious injuries during car accidents.

While motorcycle operators are certainly aware that caution and obedience to traffic laws can go a long way to help prevent car accidents, passengers are not in control, and often at the mercy of other drivers on the road. Especially on a motorcycle, when riders are virtually unprotected and exposed, car accidents can turn deadly in the blink of an eye. Recently, a 32-year-old woman riding on the back of a motorcycle lost her life in a tragic crash.

Tennessee police say that a motorcycle operated by a 29-year-old man was involved in a collision with a pickup truck that was towing a small trailer. The female passenger on the motorcycle was killed. The man driving the motorcycle suffered only minor injuries, and was treated at a local hospital. Police have not released many details, but as the investigation unfolds, they have confirmed that charges are pending.

When car accidents claim the life of a loved one, families of the victim may feel like the person at fault ought to be held accountable for any negligent or careless actions. It can often be difficult to know how to begin the process of attempting to recover and seek justice for the victim. Many times, victims and their families may find it helpful to contact an experienced attorney, who may be able to assist as they deal with things like lawsuits, insurance claims, funeral expenses and medical bills.
