Fatal car accidents: Arrest made in Tennessee

Even when the road is filled with vehicles driven by safe drivers, there will still be accidents. However, once an accident happens, drivers who are involved are legally obligated to remain at the scene. Unfortunately, this does not occur in many car accidents. For example, police in Tennessee recently arrested a woman who they say left the scene of an accident that resulted in a fatality.

Wrongful death: Charges filed months after Tennessee crash

When another's actions result in a fatality, surviving family members often need to pursue justice to help them come to terms with their loss. Unfortunately, the criminal justice process can be a lengthy one. For example, charges were only recently filed as a result of a fatal Tennessee crash that happened in March. However, there are paths to justice other than criminal charges, including a wrongful death lawsuit.

Employment law: Educator files wrongful termination lawsuit

Most people in Tennessee do not expect to lose their job as a result of standing up for what is right. For example, the decision to support a co-worker as she pursues sexual discrimination claims against the CEO of the company should not be grounds for termination. In a recent employment law case, a woman in another state claims that she was the victim of such action.

Tennessee wrongful death: Fatality when SUV, truck crash

The vast majority of drivers in Tennessee are committed to following traffic laws to protect themselves as well as others they may encounter. However, a single reckless action can quickly result in a fatal accident that will have ramifications for years to come. A wrongful death lawsuit could potentially follow a recent crash that resulted in the loss of life.
